White Wolf of Lokken Mountains is worth to check out. While not exactly a Solstheim-mod by definition, it adds a good chunk of new land east of Solstheim (same theme, lots of snow and wolves) with an excellent plot, optional companions (Nords, what else) and a castle as final reward. Yes, another castle. But this one you got to earn. smile.gif

Suppose a Barbarian will feel right at home in Lokken.

The Moldy Horker is an inn on Solstheim (just outside Fort Frostmoth) which will give you a good place to stay. It was created by Grumpy (may he rest in peace), and is a fine mod (like all of his work). He also created Beryl, a Nord Warrior Companion who is one of the most advanced Companion mods currently available, although you have to go to Seyda Neen to get her, she will follow you to Solstheim. She warps, Recalls, and will follow you through Divine and Almsivi Intervention, you can select her combat strategies, and so on and so forth. This is a first class mod, all the way.

All of Grumpy's mods can be found here.

The Mouldy Horker is included with NOM, if IIRC.
Beryl would be the best Nord companion out there, Solstheim castle the best house.

You might also want to look at Dongle's Ranger Tent, it is a pootable tent that provides (albeit limited) storage and a safe place to sleep (Hammock) and a small fire for your NOM cooking.

Do a search for it, it was asked for on this forum today, there should be a link in that thread...

From the fort, go east and a little north. You'll cross water twice, I think. It's just after the snow zone starts, a little cottage with a fence around it. It's south of uncle sweetshare.

You might like my Skaal Home 2.0, which adds a large house to the Skaal village, equipped with nursery, lounge, bathroom and pool - plus four themed bedrooms with the hunter/ranger in mind.

Most of my favourite Solstheim mods have been mentioned, but I also quite like the Thirsk Summer Cabin mod.

Go here and type "solstheim" into the search engine - you're sure to find what you're looking for. smile.gif

You might be interested in a little something I've had hidden away on my harddrive since before the birth of Solstheim Castle. I just recently finished it up (mostly....I want to get a mesh issue fixed and add some animated/scripted practise dummies).

Basically, what it is is a Nord Log House (thanx Dongle) for those "manly" types...no foofoo decorations here. It has:

- LOTS of mounted heads, and mounted furs,
-fire for all the lighting (sconses)/fireplaces. I think there is all of 2 candles in the whole house.
-LOTS of storage, lots of shelving, and I made the Raven Rock shelves with the cabinets ACTUAL Cabinets for the house....always bugged me you couldn't store anything in those! Each with a really high capacity.
-A sauna (just for looks I suppose).
-A standing bear statue that's really cool...but it needs an alpha map attached to it's teeth.
-Practise dummies (at this moment, unanimated...need to fix that)
-A special bed, I made like a bed nook for it out of shelving and wood peices that you can (if you have skill) get onto by climbing a ladder....looks really neat
-A small area to practise your armory skill (if you could actually use forges and anvils...but it's a good place to store your hammers!)
-Located on Solstheim, a bit north east of Fort Frostmoth on the River, really good looking location.
-A few "dead" animals in preparation in the kitchen.
-pelts hanging from the kitchen window in preparation.
-a NOM compatible fireplace/wine kegs (no food though)

All in all...this house screams "hunter"....trust me. If you browse around for Palinurus screenshots on the forum, you might see a wink or two of parts of the house...as him and Cenobite are the only one's who have ever seen it.

Guess I could finish it up....

A person I didn't know about, but made cool mods. Here is Grumpy's Moldy Horker. R.I.P.

And thanks for giving me a great idea about a new class: Hunter. Just go hunting animals in the land of Morrowind.
